Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Government celebrating one week sand celebrations in Andhra Pradesh from November 14th to 21st. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy decided to implement the new sand policy strictly in the state.

    AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy took a decision in cabinet meeting on Thursday to bring a stringent act on sand policy. The state Government is going to impose a fine of Rs. Two lakhs and two years imprisonment to who are involved in illegal sand mining, illegal transportation, illegal stock yards etc,. The state Government clearly said that the sand excavation, sale and maintaining stock yards are only with the mining department. No other persons or institutions have no right to sale the sand.  

   AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy clarified on the sand availability in the state on Thursday in the cabinet meeting. The state Government brought availability 137 sand reaches, with a protection of 1.20 lakh tons/ day. He also said that it will be enhanced to 1.80 lakh tons upto 21st November. He criticized that the opposition parties unnecessarily creating agitations without any subject. Now the average demand of the sand per day in the state is 80 lakh tons. Now the Government dumped stock in the stock yards per day 1.20 tons. It is excess than the demand.
