
Jagan asked Venkaiah, Chandra Babu and P.K which Medium schools your childrens are studying
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly defended the state Government’s education policy to introduce English Medium in Government schools. He attended the 132nd Birth anniversary of the Country’s first Education Minister Dr. Moulana Abul Kalam Azad in Vijayawada on Monday at A1- Convention Centre.
Moulana Abul Kalam Azad’s 132nd Birth anniversary celebrations organized by the Government of AP. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he was a visionary of the Indian Education System. The Government of AP declared Azad’s Birth anniversary as the Minorities Welfare Day by the then Chief Minister Late Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy in 2008. Azad’s Birth anniversary is celebrated as a National Education Day in the country, he said.
Jagan pointedly asked Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, TDP Chief Chandra Babu Naidu and Jena Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan whether or not their children were studying in English Medium Schools. He also raked up the issue of Pawan Kalyan’s previous marriages. He said that many senior leaders have been criticizing the Government order he issued to change the medium of instruction from Telugu to English in Government Schools. Education is the biggest asset which we are going to provide to the next generation, which will shape them into future citizens, ready to go into the competitive world, he said.
When the AP Government announced the introduction of English Medium there was criticizism from Venkaiah Naidu, Chandra Babu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. They should introspect if they are sending their children and grand children to English Medium schools or Telugu Medium schools, he said. Education in English is the right of all sections and we have done that by introducing English Medium, said Jagan. He also asked that Pawan Kalyan has three wives and four to five childrens, are they studying in English Medium schools?
