Amaravathi: Senior MLA Tammineni Sitaram unanimously elected as AP Assembly speaker. The pro-tem speaker Sambangi China Appala Naidu announced on Thursday morning Tammineni Sitaram was elected unanimously speaker of AP assembly.

         Later he announced that the Chief Minister and opposition party leaders will bring the newly elected speaker to the chair. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendra Nath Reddy, Ministers, TDP MLAs Acham Naidu, Rama Naidu, Jana Sena MLA Vara Prasad and others welcomed Tammineni Sitaram and accompanied with him to the chair.

       The leaders appreciated Tammineni and conveyed best wishes to him. The opposition leader Chandra Babu Naidu not followed the tradition of Assembly to take part in the newly elected speakers welcome. He is the person only who sit in the house.
