
Andhra Pradesh Government issued Gazette notification for 26 districts
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Government issued a Gazette notification to re – organize the 13 districts into 26 districts in the State on Tuesday. AP Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma interacted with Cabinet Ministers through virtual meeting on Tuesday and finalized the new 13 districts names.
The new districts will be formed according to the AP Districts Formation Act, Section 3(5). The new districts will be formed based on Parliamentary constituencies and a total of 26 districts will be formed.
The new districts will be named as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Araku 1, Araku 2, Anakapalli, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Konaseema (Amalapuram), Narasapuram, Eluru, Vijayawada, Machilipatnam, Guntur, Narsaraopet, Bapatla, Ongole (Prakasam), Kurnool, Nandyala, Anantapuram, Hindupuram, Kadapa, Nellore, Tirupati, Chittoor and Rajampet.
