AP Government announced Rs. 50 lakhs exgratia for the kin of Covid- 19 deceased patients in fire accident

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Government ordered two inquiry committees on the fire broken in a Covid- 19 hospital at Vijayawada on Sunday morning, which caused the loss of lives of 11 patients. The Andhra Pradesh Government announced Rs. 50 lakhs for the kin of the deceased Covid- 19 patients and Rs. 50K for other patients as an exgratia.

A private hospital taken a Hotel Swarna Palace at Bandar Road on lease base, and running a Covid- 19 hospital. The authorities of Ramesh hospital is running the Covid- 19 hospital where fire accident occurred. By knowing the preliminary information with the patients and others on the spot that the negligency of the hospital is the reason to the fire accident. MRO complained on Hotel Swarna Palace management and on the Ramesh Hospital authorities under culpable homicide case and other sections also.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also announced Rs. Two lakhs exgratia for the kin of deceased Covid- 19 patients and Rs. 50K for other Covid – 19 patients under the PM Cares Fund. AP Minister for Medical & Health Alla Nani, Information and Public Relations Minister Perni Nani and Home Minister Sucharita visited the Hotel Swarna Palace and enquired on the fire accident in Covid- 19 centre, Vijayawada and assured the patients, the Government will provide all assistance to the patients, and also announced the Government relief to the kin of patients.
