AP Government is committed and will fight for Special Category Status: Botsa Satyanarayana

Vishakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Government is committed to fight for the Special Category Status – 2014 for Andhra Pradesh, said Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botsa Satyanarayana on Sunday.

Botsa Satyanarayana convened a review meeting officials, he clarified that the issue of Special Category Status was in the Re-organization Act – 2014. He said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been in touch with the Centre on the issue on several occasions. State Government was committed to the Special Category Status and will fight until it achieves Special Category Status, he added.

Speaking on the three capitals Botsa made it clear that the three capitals would be established as it is the policy of their Government. The Administrative Capital will be set up in Visakhapatnam, he said.
