AP Government distributed Rs. 1000 per one BPL family

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy extended financial assistance to the BPL people to meet their family needs due to lock down of Covid- 19 in the state. He released Rs. 1, 300 crores for the benefit of the poor.

The Village Volunteers and the Ward Volunteers began door to door distribution on Friday at 5 am. The Government is giving Rs. 1000 per each family, apart from the rice and other essential items, which supplied free of cost in last two days. The Government identified BPL families 1.30 in the state.

The BPL families in the state are given as district wise: 1. Srikakulam- 7.5 Lakhs, 2. Vijayanagaram- 6.47 Lakhs, 3. Vishakhapatnam- 11.05 Lakhs, East Godavari- 14.65 Lakhs, West Godavari- 11.44 Lakhs, Krishna- 11.21 Lakhs, Guntur- 12.87 Lakhs, Prakhasm- 8.76 Lakhs, Nellore- 7.76 Lakhs, Chittoor- 9.92 Lakhs, Ananthapur- 10.67 Lakhs, Kurnool- 10.56 Lakhs, Kadapa- 7.06 Lakhs.
