AP High Court stopped investigation for four weeks on Amaravathi land insider trading: CJI

Amaravathi: Andhra Pradesh High Court issued an interim order on Tuesday, to stop investigation and not to take any stringent action in the Amaravathi land insider trading case accused persons.

The AP CID booked a case against the former Advocate General of Andhra Pradesh Government D. Srinivas and 12 others, including two daughters of the sitting Supreme Court Judge. The Court also ordered that, no electronic media and print media and social media also not to telecast or print news items in their respective channels and their newspapers regarding this particular case. The Court directed the DGP, Union Information & Broadcasting department to acknowledge about this order not to print or not telecast any news about this case.

The High Court order the AP Government to file affidavit with full details within four weeks, the Court directed to Home Secretary, DGP, ACB DG, CID Additional DG, and Intelligence DG. The High Court CJ Justice Jitendra Kumar Maheshwari refused to issue Court notices to CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in this case, as a respondent in person.
