Nellore: Police arrested a Deputy Manager of APTDC in Nellore on Tuesday after he brutally attacked his junior woman colleague. This incident occurred when she requested the Deputy Manager to wear a mask as per Covid- 19 protocol.

The Andhra Pradesh Government suspended the Deputy Manager C. Bhasker after seeing the video footage went viral on social media. The accused expressed anger on the woman; he took a stick and hit her. He also dragged the woman employee who is differently abled, by her hair. The Deputy Manager already has several complaints of misbehaviour against him.

The security footage, which was leaked on social media, soon went viral and drew wide spread condemnation. National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma in her tweet said she was going to take it upright way. He needs to be booked for his act. The police registered a case under sections 354, 355 and 204 IPC, on the complaint of the victim Usha Rani.
