Arrange quarantine facilities in Village Secretaraits

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has decided to open quarantine facilities in all Village Secretariats in the state. It is helpful to check the spread of Covid- 19 in rural areas as people stranded in other states are likely to return home in the next few days due to the relaxation in lock down norms.

He reviewed the Covid- 19 situation in the state on Saturday with Chief Secretary Neelam Sawhney, DGP Gautam Sawang, Medical & Health Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy and others attended. He said to the officials to make the required arrangements for the quarantine centres at the Village Secretariats or in a Government building. In some places buildings have been taken on rent to house the Secretariats. All of them would now be turned into quarantine facilities with minimum bed strength of 15.

Jagan also directed all Government departments to coordinate and ensure the Covid – 19 is controlled.
