China seals 13 cities to prevent Corona Virus from spreading

Wuhan, China: China authorities initiated preventing steps on Corona Virus, the China authorities on Friday checked nervous residents with fevers. The number of conformed cases of Corona Virus rose to 830, 26 people have died, including the first two deaths outside Hubei.

The World Health Organization (WHO) held off on declaring a global emergency despite conformed cases in half a dozen in other countries. China extended its lockdown to 13 cities and a staggering 41 Million people. The first city closed off were Wuhan Central China, with 11 Million people, or 1.5 times the population of New York City. It is the industrial hub of Central China. Access was cut off later to neighbouring cities in the Central Province of Hubei that include Huanggan with seven Million people, Ezhou, Chibi, Qianjiang, Zhijiang, Jingmen, Xiantao, Xiaogan and Huangshi.

Lunar New Year festivities have been cancelled, while temporary closures of Beijing’s Forbidden City. Shanghai’s Disney Land and section of a Great Wall were announced to prevent the disease from spreading further. The previously unknown virus has caused alarm because of its similarity to SARS (Severe Active Respiratory Syndrome) which hundreds killed across China and Hong Kong in 2002-2003. Wuhan’s streets were found deserted and stores shutted on Friday.
