
Covid – 19 took the lives of the loved ones: Modi
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday spoke with the kith and kin that lost their loved ones due to Covid – 19. While speaking with health workers via video conference his native constituency in Varanasi in UP, he thanked doctors and frontline workers who served the Covid – 19 patients.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was emotional during video conference said that. I pay my humble tribute to them and I express my condolences to the families who lost people. Covid – 19 has snatched many of loved ones from us. In the second wave of corona, we are fighting on multiple fronts at the same time. The rate of infection is also much more and patients are in hospital for a longer time, he said.
Modi was sharply criticised by Rahul Gandhi and other Congress leaders for his extensive election campaign in Bengal and crowded rallies in the time of Covid – 19. Modi stressing on the need to protect children, he said that this is not the time to be complacent. We have a long fight ahead.
