Customs Officials Found Drugs in Hidden Lehangas

New Delhi: The Customs officials in Delhi seized 3,900 grams of the drug MDMA, commonly known as “ecstasy”. These drug was found a consignment of Lehangas to Australia, hidden within the intricate work of the colourful, traditional cloth were drugs whose street price has been estimated at ₹ 1.7 crore, said the customs officials.

The customs officials were found inside the Lehangas a consignment that was being sent to Australia. The officials opened the consignment at the Foreign Post Office in Delhi based on the intelligence inputs. MDMA is a synthetic drug that is chemically similar to both stimulants and hallucinogens, which can lead to liver, kidney and heart failure or death.
