EPS Will Inaugurate the Temple of J Jaya Lalitha, MGR Today

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palani Swamy is going to inaugurate the temple dedicated to late: J Jaya Lalitha and her mentor MG Ramachandran’s temple in Madurai on Saturday. The State revenue minister R B Udhaya Kumar commissioned the temple, has been constructed one-and-a-half-acre plot near the city’s T Kallupatti area at a cost of ₹ 50 lakh. It contains bronze statues of the two leaders.

Late J Jaya Lalitha inducted RB Udaya Kumar as a minister at first time in her cabinet. That’s why he showed his loyalty on her. Speaking to the media persons, he said that “We call our Amma (J Jayalalithaa) with different names of Goddesses like ‘Idhaya Theivam (Goddess of Hearts), Kaval Theivam (Guardian Goddess) and Kulasamy (Goddess of our Tribe), and this temple only formalises that. We have enough space around the temple for people to come and worship.”

The minister answers to a question of reporters that the temple has been built to garner people’s sympathy in view of the upcoming election. “Both MGR and Jaya Lalitha have sacrificed a lot and we regard them as God and Goddess”.
