Former US President Donald Trump calls for Joe Biden to resign over Afghanistan crisis

Washington: US former President Donald Trump called for President Joe Biden’s resignation on Sunday over the swift takeover of Afghanistan by Taliban terrorists. Trump in a statement said that it is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan.

US troops withdrew from the country after nearly 20 years on the ground. He also accused Joe Biden over a surge in Covid – 19 cases in the US and domestic immigration, economic and energy policies.

Taliban took control of Kabul on Sunday, deadline set by Biden to complete the withdrawal of American troops from the country before August 31st. Trump has repeatedly accused Biden over the move, saying it would have been a much different and much more successful withdrawal if he were still President.

Trump in another statement on Sunday said that what Joe Biden has done with Afghanistan is legendary. It will go down as one of the greatest defeats in American history.
