G Kishan Reddy elevated as Cabinet Minister in Modi’s Cabinet

Hyderabad: Union Cabinet Minister G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday said that he will work with whole heartedly the work assigned by the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After taking oath as a Cabinet Minister on Wednesday evening, speaking to the media persons he said that he will try to resolve the pending issues between AP and Telangana and as well as State bifurcation issues. PM allotted him the portfolios Culture, Tourism & North East States development.

He will try his best to achieve the social welfare schemes to both Telugu State and also he will be available to the people of two Telugu States. He also said that the Union Government gave a regional ring road as bounty to Hyderabad. He visited Gandhi Hospital nine times during Covid – 19 pandemic as Union Minister.

Secunderabad MP G Kishan Reddy created a record in getting elevation in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Cabinet reshuffle as a Cabinet Minister. After bifurcation of the State in 2014, he is the first person to get berth in the Union Cabinet as a Cabinet Minister.

He is the second person to get the Cabinet rank in the Union Cabinet in BJP after M Venkaiah Naidu. The former Congress Chief Ministers of AP Marri Chenna Reddy, PV Narashima Rao, later he occupied as ninth Prime Minister of India and G Venkata Swamy got the Cabinet berth in the Union Government in late Prime Ministers Smt. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi’s Cabinets.

From BJP Bandaru Dattatreya, Bangaru Laxman and Ch. Vidyasagar Rao inducted as State Ministers in the Union Cabinet in the past.
