HC grants conditional Permission for anti-CAA meeting

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court issued conditional orders to organize the meeting against the CAA in Hyderabad Khilwat on January 25th. Telangana High Court Justice Vinod Kumar told the organizers not to hold bike rallies or hoist the National Flag.

He also said the volume of the loud speakers should be in consonance with the Supreme Court guideline (75 Decibels) during the day and (65 decibels) during the night in residential areas. He also imposed the restriction on the meeting time only between 6 pm to 11 pm. The Court found fault, the Police Commissioner for not mentioning number of speakers at the meeting and the time frame. The Justice also inquired with the Government Council whether or not the state has received Intelligence alerts from the Union Home Ministry on the CAA and NRC. He also referred to the recent communal riots at Bhainsa.
