India losses to Pakistan in ICC T20 World Cup

Dubai: India losses against Pakistan in their opening match Super 12 in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with ten wickets at Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first at Dubai International Stadium.

India scored 151/ 7 in their 20 overs. Captain Virat Kohli is the highest scorer for team India with half century (57 off 49 balls) and Rishabh Pant supported him with 39 off 30 balls. Kohli and Pant led the recovery for India after Pakistan reduced them to 36/3 in power play.
Shaheen Shah Afridi took wickets of Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in the first 13 balls of the innings. Kohli and Pant led the rebuilding job for India with a stand of 53 off 40 balls for the fourth wicket. Partnership between Kohli and Pant held India to reach respectable score 151/7 in 20 overs.

Pakistan openers Rizwan and Babar Azam with their unbeatable knocks for the first wicket clinched Pakistan to victory with 152/ 0 in 17.5 overs. Captain Babar Azam scored 68 of 52 balls and Rizwan scored 79 of 55 balls unbeaten. This is the first time Pakistan beat India in any ICC World Cup events.
