Hangzhou: Indian Athletes clinched two silver and one bronze medal in the 1^st day Asian Games – 2023 held at Hangzhou in China.  Ramita, Mehuli Ghosh, Ashi Chouksey in Women’s 10m air pistol won India’s first silver medal.

Arjun Lal Jat and Arvind Singh won second silver medal in Rowing lightweight men’s double sculls with a timing of 6:28.18s. Babu Lal Yadav and Lekh Ram won India’s second medal in rowing and third overall after winning a bronze in the men’s pair final with a timing of 6:50.41s. India Women’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets.
