Mumbai: BCCI Chief, Former team India captain Sourav Ganguly congratulated the team India, for the remarkable series win and also announced a five crore bonus for the players and support staff.

BCCI Chief, Ganguly in a tweet said that team India won the four-match series 2-1 against Australia on Tuesday. Rishab Pant scored an unbeaten 89 in the fourth innings as India registered one of the biggest overseas victories in their history to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

He also said this series will be remembered forever in the history of Indian cricket. “Just a remarkable win…To go to Australia and win a test series in this way ..will be remembered in the history of Indian cricket forever ..BCCI announces a 5 cr bonus for the team ..The value of this win is beyond any number ..well done to every member of the touring party,” BCCI president Sourav Ganguly wrote.

Team India on the last day of the fourth test chased the target given by the Australia 328 runs by losing seven wickets. The batman’s Shubman Gil (91), Rishab Pant (89) leads the team India to win the test match at Gabba Stadium in Brisbane in Australia. This is the first defeat to the Australia in this stadium after 32 years.
