Jagan explains Modi: Taken Steps to contain the Covid- 19 in AP

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy explained to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, the AP Government’s war footing steps taking against the Covid- 19 in the state.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conference and said that the Government is implementing lock down fully. The Covid- 19 cases reached 143 on Thursday. The cases was very low in the state before four days, but the delegates who participated in Tableeghi Jamaat congregation in New Delhi got 111 positive case in three days. Nearly 1, 085 members participated in the meeting.

He explained that the AP Government is conducting surveys twice in the state thorough Village Volunteers, Ward Secretariats Staff, Asha Workers and ANMs. We traced nearly 29, 000 and odd foreigners through this surveys. We are implementing lock down strictly in the state and we are using methods to curb the Covid- 19 through tracing, testing and treatment methods. He also explained to the Prime Minister his Government provided essential food grains to the BPL card holders through PDS system on free of cost.

The Village Volunteers are playing key role in distributing the rice, dal and essentials to the card holders. The Government is giving 12 Kgs rice per a head and 1 Kg red gram dal to one family. The distribution is started on March 29th, and the Government will distribute another two phases the same commodities to the card holders upto April 29th. He urged the Prime Minister to help generously financial aid to the state which is suffering from financial hardship.
