Jagan Launched “Jagananna Vidya Deevana” Scheme

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy assured the parents of the college going children; he will bare all expenditures of the students for their higher studies under the schemes of “Jagananna Vidya Deevana” and “Jagananna Vasathi Deevana”.

He launched Jagananna Vidya Deevana scheme on Tuesday at his camp office at Tadepalli. He transferred the “fee reimbursement” amount to mother’s accounts of the students. He nearly transferred Rs. 4000 crores, which was the due to the colleges for the academic year 2019-2020, and also paid the dues of Rs. 1880 crores of the previous government.

After launching the scheme he interacted with the district collectors, students and with the mothers of the students. Speaking on the occasion he told to the parents that “Education is the only asset to the students” which we gave. The poor students belong to the SC, ST, BC and minorities and as well as the economically backward sections of the forward caste, will not stop their education due to the lack of fee payment, he said.

If every poor student belongs to those communities will study the higher courses i.e., MBBS, Engineering and other vocational courses, they will became the backbone of the family to uplift from the poverty. That is why the Former AP CM, great leader Dr. YS Raja Sekhar Reddy introduced the fee reimbursement scheme. Now this government revived the scheme today, he added. After the death of Dr. YS Raja Sekhar Reddy, successive governments not implemented the scheme at the mark, he said.

He advised the parents, to go the college and pay the fee on behalf of the students and know the actual fact of the studies. If any doubts arise on the college, please complaint the toll free no 1902. The next year fee reimbursement will be paid in four installments, he said.
