New Delhi: Supreme Court Chief Justice U.U. Lalith nominated the name of Justice DY Chandrachud as his successor to the Supreme Court. Justice DY Chandrachud will take oath as 50^th Chief Justice of Supreme Court on November 9^th, after the retirement of the Chief Justice U.U. Lalith on November 8^th.

Justice DY Chandrachud’s father Justice YV Chandrachud was also a Chief Justice of Supreme Court. He is the first successor of the former Supreme Court Chief Justice YV Chandrachud.
