Jyothiraditya Scindia likely to join BJP

New Delhi: The Congress senior leader, former MP Jyothiraditya Scindia quit the Congress on Tuesday. He submitted his resignation to Congress party Chief Sonia Gandhi on Monday.

He was decided to join in BJP after having a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and then the two leaders went to Prime Minister’s residence where they had talks for over an hour. Scindia took the decision to sever his ties with the Congress on the day of his father Madhavrao Scindia’s 75th birth anniversary. He is likely to join BJP in a couple of days, said sources.

The Congress party also announced Jyothiraditya Scindia’s expulsion for anti-party activities. As the crisis looming over the Madhya Pradesh Government led by Kamal Nath deepened. As sources revealed that Scindia is likely to be sent to Rajya Sabha, he may get a berth in the Union Cabinet if his revolt against the Congress, if the Kamal Nath’s Government collapses in the State.
