Kamal Nath’s Government is in crisis: 19 Cong MLAs resigned

Bhopal: The Congress Government headed by Chief Minister Kamal Nath is in crisis. The Congress leader Jyothiraditya Scindia’s group MLAs is likely to support the BJP to form a Government in the State. As many as 19 MLAs including six Ministers in Kamal Nath’s cabinet have resigned from the State Assembly on Tuesday. For this, the Kamal Nath’s Government came into minority, which the magic figure to stable the Government 116 is not possible.

Senior BJP leader Narottam Mishra submitted the 19 MLAs resignation letters to Assembly Speaker N.P Prajapathi on Tuesday afternoon. Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker however said he will examine the resignations. Another BJP senior leader Bhupender Singh went to Bengaluru from Bhopal to bring the resignation letters from 19 Congress MLAs, who are staying in Bengaluru. Four independent MLAs, two BSP MLAs and one SP MLA supporting to Congress led Government.

All these MLAs are away from the Kamal Nath’s meeting. If 22 MLAs quit the Assembly, the Congress would be left with 92 MLAs, while the BJP have 107 MLAs. As per the reliable sources, the Scindia’s, former Royals of Gwalior, Scindia began to explore his options beyond the Congress after he was cold shouldered by Congress President Sonia and her son Rahul.
