KCR extended Lockdown in Telangana upto June 10

Hyderabad: Telangana Government extended Covid – 19 lockdown upto June 10th. The Government extended the relaxation period from 6 am to 1 pm instead of 6 am to 10 am, and also one hour grace period will be allowed.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR chaired the cabinet meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday and reviewed the Covid – 19 situations in the State, as per the inputs of Medical & Health officials on Covid – 19 declines, the cabinet took the relaxation period from 6 am to 1 pm. And also allowed some Government departments to work upto 1 pm.

The cabinet decided to implement lockdown strictly from 2 pm to 6 am the next day, the State Government said in a statement. The cabinet discussed measures taken to overcome the economic crisis due to Covid – 19 and to mobilise resources. The cabinet instructed Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to take measures to sell government lands and houses under the Housing Board.

Land registration, properties under the Stamps & Registration department and vehicle registration are allowed on working days, it said. The cabinet also instructed officials to be alert following reports that there is a possibility of a third wave and to prepare proper action plans.

The cabinet approved the decision taken by the Government to start six medical colleges along with nursing colleges at Nagar Kurnool, Wanaparthy, Jagityala, Sangareddy, Mahaboobabad and Kothagudem.

The cabinet decided it will construct a super specialty hospital in Warangal at the existing jail premises. It asked the Home Department to shift prisoners from the Warangal jail to other jails and hand over the premises to the Medical & Health department in a month’s time.
