KCR Launched Bharat Rashtra Samithi for his National Entity

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao announced “Bharat Rashtra Samithi” (BRS) party on Wednesday at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, for his entity in National politics. He launched the “Bharat Rashtra Samithi” (BRS) party at the recommended Muhurat time of “1:19” pm on Wednesday on the auspicious occasion of “Dasara” festival.

He announced his regional party “Telangana Rashtra Samithi” name as “Bharat Rashtra Samithi”, after having a meeting with the party’s MLAs, MPs and other district local body leaders etc., on Wednesday in a general body meeting.

The general body meeting unanimously resolved the TRS party name as “Bharat Rashtra Samithi” from today onwards. Telangana CM KCR announced the National party’s name as “Bharat Rashtra Samithi” after concluding the general body meeting.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi is now BRS, KCR declared after a meeting of his party. Workers celebrated by bursting crackers and splashing the party’s colour pink on the city of Hyderabad. The “name-change” was conveyed to the Election Commission, which has rules for recognizing any party as national.

KCR has made it clear that he intends to take on the BJP and challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2024. Former Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy and DMK ally Thol Thirumavalavan attended the party launch.

After launching the BRS, KCR plans to address a rally in Delhi on December 9 the day the then Congress government at the centre announced a separate Telangana state in 2009. The renamed party may face its first election soon, in Telangana’s Munugode bypoll, expected on November 4. But that election will have to be still fought under the name of TRS, as the Election Commission’s endorsement is expected to take some time.
