KCR urges Modi to support financial assistance

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister urged the Centre to rescue State Governments with financial assistance. While KCR interacting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a video conference on Saturday said the Prime Minister may announce an extension of the lock down after addressing the nation.

He may also announce a package for some sectors “For a country of 130 crore people, 7, 000 cases are not alarming, and the State Government has been working with the Centre, KCR said. If Markaz issue not happened, the State would have zero Covid- 19 cases by now. People should cooperate with the Government for two more weeks, he added. On complaints that some private hospitals were denying treatment for people suffering from other ailments, KCR said his office would issue necessary directions.

He also said the cabinet has decided to provide water to farmers under various lift irrigation projects, especially Kaleshwaram, till April 15 instead of closing the release on April 10, and added that the State Government would procure all agriculture yields this year.
