KTR inaugurated the IT Tower in Karimnagar: 432 techies get jobs

Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao Tuesday inaugurated an IT Tower in Karimnagar, as part of efforts to develop IT sector in tier II cities of Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion KTR said that a centre of T- Hub in Hyderabad will also be setup on the IT Tower premises to facilitate incubation of starters. Explore the possibilities and facilities here first, he said. As many as 432 people over recruited for IT Companies were handed over letters of placement by him. He also said that the Tower built up at a cost of Rs. 34 crores. 17 firms have come forward to setup their units in the IT Tower to provide employment to 3K people. The recruitment has taken place in 15 firms, mainly from the local colleges. KTR announced that rents of all the companies would be waived off to January 2021.

So that the Covid- 19 situation does not pinch them hard, he urged NRIs with a connect to Karimnagar to contribute by setting up IT Companies, firms and industries in Karimnagar. The IT and Municipality Minister KTR inaugurated a drinking water project on Tuesday under Mission Bhagiratha. Three lakh residents of Karimnagar town have a lot to cheer as they will get daily water from now on.

The project was completed with a cost of Rs. 119 crores taken up two years ago.
