Lockdown imposed for ten days in Telangana from May 12th onwards

Hyderabad: Telangana Government imposed 20 hours lockdown in the State from 12th May to 21st May to contain the Covid – 19 surges in the State. The Government relaxed the lockdown for four hours every day from 6 am to 10 am.

The lockdown will continue from 10 am to 6 am. Shops and other business activities will be open for only 4 hours, 6 am to 10 am every day. Chief Minister KCR took the lockdown decision in a cabinet meeting under his Chairmanship on Tuesday at Pragathi Bhavan.

CM KCR has directed the officials concerned to see that strict implementation is carried out to make the lockdown successful in curbing the Covid – 19 cases. The State Government decided to call for global tenders to procure Covid – 19 vaccines amid its shortage.

The Government allowed vehicles in the national highways during lockdown. Agricultural activities and agricultural transportation exempted from the lockdown. The Government also ordered to work the Government offices and private offices from 6 am to 10 am with 33% staff. Banks, ATMs also function during the lockdown.

Emergency services, essential goods also exempted from lockdown. The migrant workers from the other states thronged to the railway stations and bus stations to go their native places. TSRTC will run its buses and the city bus services also runs in Hyderabad, from 6 am to 10 am.
