Modi took decision to cancel CBSE class 12 exams
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a decision on Tuesday, to cancel CBSE 12th class exams in 2021 due to Covid – 19. Prime Minister Modi said that the Government gave priority gave to health and safety of students, and there would be no compromise on this aspect, said a PMO press release. He said that the decision was taken in the interest of students.
Prime Minister Chaired a cabinet meeting and reviewed the situations on conducting the CBSE class 12 exams. This cabinet meeting convened PM Modi on the summons of the Supreme Court to the Government to clarify whether the Government is conducting the CBSE class 12 exams or postponing, the next hearing posted to June 3.
The PMO in its press note on the request of parents, students and teachers to postpone the exams due to Covid – 19 pandemic situations and they requested the Government students not forced to appear for exams.
After taking the cancellation of CBSE class 12 exams, the Government informed to the Council for Indian School Certificate, to call off its Class 12 Board Exams for this year. The meeting was attended by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar, and CBSE Chairman Manoj Ahuja.
