CJI Ranjan Gogoi, pronounce the verdict on Ram Janmabhoomi- Babri Masjid dispute

New Delhi: The Supreme Court to deliver a verdict on the dispute of Ram Janmabhoomi- Babri Masjid land dispute on Saturday at 10.30 am. The Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi who is headed by the Constitutional Bench will pronounce the verdict.

    CJI discussed with the Chief Secretary and DGP of U.P about the security arrangements and to keep the law and order in the state of UP. The UP Government and the police authorities tighten the security arrangements in the Ayodhya and surrounding areas. Special vigil is being maintained on social media, said police authorities. If required, checks would be imposed on it, said police official. The police authorities said there is no restriction on devotees who wants to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi today.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed to the people that the priority should be to strengthen India’s tradition of maintaining peace and harmony after the verdict is pronounced on Saturday. As a precautionary measure all educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh will remain closed on Saturday.

    The five membered Judge bench constituted by CJI Ranjan Gogoi, S.A. Bobde, D.Y. Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S. Abdul Nazeer.
