Crores of rupees misused in the construction of Amaravathi: G.V.L

New Delhi: The TDP Government misused Rs.1000 crores of public money in the name of the construction of A.P Capital with Swiss challenge and Singapore Challenge methods, alleged BJP National Spokesperson G.V.L. Narashima Rao. The heads of previous Government swallowed the funds granted by the Central Government for the construction of State Capital.

   Speaking to the media persons, he criticized that the Chandra Babu Government spent

Rs 2,000 crores of grants by Central Government for the construction of temporary buildings. The previous Government looted the public money by spending Rs. 10,000 per a sq.ft development, he said. He demanded the state Government to initiate criminal action against the previous Government misuse of the public money.

   The construction of the capital is belongs to state concerns only. He urged the Government to clarify the spreading rumours on the capital Amaravathi. The state capital needs only 5,000 acres for the construction of the capital, but the previous Government collected nearly 30,000 acres of the land from the farmers, he said. He also alleged that the Polavaram head works distributed to three companies by the previous Government. But there is an excess payment of Rs. 2346 crores to the contractors found by the expert committee. He also demanded that the state Government will bring the facts to the public notice on the inside trading of the lands in the capital.
