Eight Students Killed, 24 Injured in Gun Firing: Prem University in Russia

Moscow: Eight people were killed and 24 others injured on Monday as a gunman went on a rampage at Prem State University in Russia. According to the Indian Embassy sources, All Indian Students at Prem State University in Russia are safe in the gun fire by a student.

Indian Embassy conveyed condolences on the incident that our deep condolences for loss of life and best wishes for early recovery of those injured. Embassy is in touch with local authorities and the representatives of Indian students. All Indian students at Perm State Medical University are safe.

The university, one of the oldest in Russia, is located in Perm, around 1,300 km east of Moscow. The feared students of gun fire, they ran away from their rooms and some students jumped down from Windows to save their lives, showing the video visuals. The university authorities cautioned the students be locked rooms, stay inside safely or go for safety places.
