First visually impaired IAS officer Pranjal Patil

Thiruvananthapuram: The Country’s first visually challenged women IAS officer Pranjal Patil (30) took charge as the Sub Collector of Thiruvananthapuram on Monday. Patil was appointed as Ernakulam Assistant Collector during her training period.

      Patil belongs to Ulhasnagar in Maharashtra, had lost her vision when she was just six years old.  She appeared the UPSC examination in 2016 and secured 773 and appeared the next year and she secured 124th.  Speaking to the media person she said that “we should never be defeated and we should never give up because with our efforts all of us will get that one breakthrough which we want”.
