Intolerance and MOB culture is harmful to the society: Manmohan Singh

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said that the distributing trends of growing intolerance, communal polarization and hate crimes will damage India’s policy. Manmohan Singh speaking on Tuesday at an event of the 75th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, he said that the trend of growing intolerance and MOB culture is harming the society. He said that we must continue our journey on a path shown by late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

  There is nothing more important than the unity and integrity of our nation, he said. India’s indivisible secularism is the bedrock of our nationhood, no religious teaches communalism. He said that late Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated by a suicide bomber in Sri Perumbudur in Tamil Nadu in 1991. The late Rajiv Gandhi’s birthday anniversary is observing as “Sadbhavana Diwas”. The Congress had organized a number of events through the week to observe the “Sadbhavana Diwas”.
