Kumara Swamy move trust vote on Thursday
Bengaluru: Karnataka political crisis come to an end on Thursday, the confidence motion of Chief Minister H.D. Kumara Swamy.
Chief Minister H.D. Kumara Swamy is heading a coalition Government of JDS and Congress, since 13 months. JDS have 37 MLA’s, Congress have 78 MLA’s. Two independent MLA’s and another MLA also supported coalition Government. BJP is having 105 MLAs in the Assembly. Nearly 16 dissident MLA’s from coalition Government resigned for MLA before ten days and they submitted their resignation to the Speaker Ramesh Kumar and also approached to the Supreme Court to issue directions to the Assembly Speaker to accept their resignations.
The resigned MLA’s are staying in a hotel in Mumbai. After failing the efforts to bring the dissident MLA’s into their fold, finally Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumara Swamy decided to move a Confidence motion on Thursday in the Assembly.
Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar decided to allow the confidence motion on Thursday in the Assembly. The dissident MLA’s decided not to attend the Assembly on Thursday.
