MPs Demand Stringent Punishment to the Accused of “Disha” Gang Rape and Murder

New Delhi: Both Parliament houses on Monday up roared on the gang rape and murder of the veterinary doctor “Disha” at Hyderabad. Irrespective of all parties MPs condemned the ghastly incident, which was occurred on November 27th near Shamshabad toll plaza. The MPs of both houses demanded to punish the culprits with stringent punishment by hang them or kill them publicly, make justice within a short period through fast track courts.

         The Samaj Wadi party Rajya Sabha MP, Veteran Cine actress Jaya Bachan demanded that these types of people need to be brought out in public and lynched. She also said that the people want the government to give a proper and correct answer. Many Rajya Sabha members chorus with her on the brutal murder of Disha. She also said I don’t know how many times I have stood and spoken after this kind of crime. I think it is time whether Nirbhaya or Khatuva or what happened in Telangana.

        She also demanded that people who fail to protect women and children from such horrific assaults should be “named and shamed”. Rajya Sabha chairmen Venkaiah Naidu also suggested a re-think on allowing convicts in heinous crimes to submit mercy appeal. He also said crime against women was a “Social Disease” and there are lacunae in the system. Both legal as well as in policing, this kind of violation of dignity of women cannot go on unchallenged. Congress MP Ghulam Nabi Azad also raised the issue.

Lok Sabha: The Congress MP of Nalgonda Constituency in Telangana raised the issue in Parliament. He alleged that the police not reacted properly, when the slain “Disha’s” parents approached to the police. He also pointed out the Home Ministers comments on victim’s phone to the family members. If the victim calls police she will be survived, the Home Ministers advice is not correct.

The YCP MP of Kakinada appealed the speaker to imposed stringent punishments on the culprits who committed in his crime on a veterinary doctor. She appealed the house to change the laws to punish the culprits stringently within a short period. She requested the house “Don’t offers Pooja to women, Don’t respect women but them live”.

     The Congress MP Revanth Reddy, the Minister of state for Home Kishan Reddy and others demanded the stringent punishment.
