Mumbai: The NCB, anti- drugs agency arrested comedian Bharati Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa on Saturday. The NCB seized 86.5 Gms ganja from them during a search of their residence on Saturday morning and questioned Haarsh by the NCB officials for nearly 15 hours.

Ms Singh and her husband, Haarsh Limbachiyaa, were taken to the NCB’s Mumbai office for questioning them about the narcotic drugs, they accepted that they use narcotic substances.

“Both Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa accepted consuming ganja. Ms Singh was placed under arrest under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act,” the NCB said in a press release.

The quantity of drugs found at their home was not commercial, but could invite a maximum punishment of up to 10 years in jail. According to an NCB official, Ms Singh’s name emerged during questioning of a drug peddler. The agency also carried out searches at two other locations in Mumbai.
