Mumbai: Kandivali Constituency MLA Dilip Lande in North Mumbai made a contractor sit on a waterlogged road in Mumbai and asked people to dump garbage on him to punish him for allegedly not getting drains cleaned properly.

As the contractor sits on the road, a person walks up to him and pushes him. The Shiva Sena MLA Dilip Lande is seen directing two men as they lift heaps of garbage and slush and dump them over the contractor.

The contractor facing allegations from public, he had not been showing up to get the drains cleaned. When the city receiving heavy monsoon rainfall over the past few days, the choked drains led to water logging on the road.

The Shiva Sena MLA in a statement to the media said those responsible for preventing water logging in the area are failed to do their job. As a representative of this area, I came here to fulfill the trust and wishes of the people so, it’s my duty, I came here to clean the drains along with the local party Shiv Sena Chief and Shiv Sainiks.
