Tokyo: Team India Ace Shuttler P V Sindhu entered quarter finals on Thursday by defeating her rival Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt with 2-0. She won the consecutive sets 21-15, 21-13 against her rival in pre-quarter final and qualified to quarter.

Indian men’s hockey team also sealed a quarterfinals berth with a 3-1 win against defending champions Argentina in a men’s Pool A fixture. In shooting, Rahi Sarnobat was placed seventh in the women’s 25m Pistol Qualification round while Manu Bhaker was ranked fifth in women’s 25m Pistol qualifications.
