The cities, the railways connected with Delhi are Mumbai (Maharashtra), Howrah (Kolkata), Patna (Bihar), Bengaluru (Karnataka), Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Dibrugarh (Assam), Secunderabad (Telangana), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala).

The resumption of train operations would be gradual, the railway ministry sources said on Sunday. The train bookings can be done only through IRCTC website from 04:00pm on Monday. No one will be able to purchase tickets from counters or buy platform tickets. Only asymptomatic passengers with confirmed and valid tickets will be allowed to enter the railway stations and they will need to wear face masks.

The passengers will be allowed to travel after medical screening; passengers who had earlier booked tickets to travel during this period won’t be allowed to board these trains.  All these 15 trains will have only AC coaches and there will be limited stops between originating and destination stations, said railway sources. They will run like Rajadhani’s and hence the fare will be equilant to what is charged for travel in Rajdhani trains.

The frequency of services between Delhi and select cities will be almost like that of normal Rajdhani services before lockdown.
