Vishakhapatnam: AP police booked a criminal case against top South Korean company LG Chem., which owns LG Polymers where gas leaked early in the morning on Thursday. Police booked the case against the company hours after the tragedy.

The police registered the case against the LG Polymers, based on the complaint of VRO M.V. Subba Rao of Venkatapuram village. Gopalapatnam police filed an FIR (Crime. No. 213 of 2020) under various sections of IPC. A case has been registered under sections 278, 284, 285 of IPC 337 and 338 and 304(2) of IPC.
