Hyderabad: The united Muslim action committee convened a meeting against CAA and NRC at Khilwat ground at Hyderabad on Saturday evening.

The Telangana High Court gave a permission to the organizers to hold a meeting between 06:00pm to 10:00pm. The MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi could not deliver his speech due to time constraints. But he thanked the people for attending the meeting at 09:15pm the meeting concluded, but the people refuse to go home.

A few groups stayed and shouted slogans against the CAA till 10:15pm. The program started with a Qawwali, with the famous revolution poem “Hum Bhi Dekhenge” written by the poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. The Qawwali program presented by the Warsi brothers.

Poets Rahat Indor, Sampath Saral, Manzar Bhopali, Shabina Adid, Iqra Khan, Afzal Manglori, Nabia Khan Hasim, Ferozabadi, Amir Aziz and Sardar Saleem presented their poetry targeting the economic slowdown, corruption and the NPR. They criticized Modi’s self proclamation of being a Fakir and for snatching the dreams of Indians.

The Hyderabadi MP and MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi asked the people who attend the meeting to go home peacefully and eat Halwa and Poha. He take a dig at finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman who performed a Halwa Ceremony ahead the union budget. He also said that BJP General Secretary Kailash Vijaya Vargiya who doubted the nationality and some people because they eat poha.
