Kolkata: Retired IAS Officer CV Ananda Bose (71) was appointed as the Governor of West Bengal on Thursday. According to the Rashtrapati Bhavan communiqué President of India Draupadi Murmu is pleased to appoint the Dr CV Ananda Bose as a regular Governor of West Bengal.  His appointment will take effect on the date he assumes charge of his office, it said.

He is a Kerala cadre office; he last served as an administrator in the National Museum in New Delhi before superannuating in 2011.
