Varanasi: A state of the art center Rudraksh; will shine more and the beauty of Kashi will increase more, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi inaugurated a state of the art center in Varanasi on Thursday. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of Rudraksh, PM said that it is an attractive destination for conferences, tourist and Business people in the city.

The state of the art center “Rudraksh” Located at the posh Sigra area on 2.87 hectares of land, the two-storey structure has a seating capacity of 1,200 people. There is a parking facility to 120 cars in the Rudraksh premises.

The Rudraksh is ideal for holding international conferences, exhibitions and music concerts and other events. The gallery exhibits murals depicting Varanasi’s art, culture and music, they added. An environment-friendly building, the centre is equipped with adequate security and safety systems. It features a regular entrance, a service entrance and a separate VIP entrance, making it an ideal destination for holding all types of international events.

The convention centre, built with the assistance from Japan International Cooperation Agency, can be partitioned into smaller spaces when needed. The international cooperation and convention center which named “Rudraksh” will offer a glimpse of the cultural richness to the ancient city Kashi.

The Rudraksh’s roof was designed as Shiva Linga, as many as 108 Rudraksh have been installed at the centre, said officials. Modi in a tweet wrote I am delighted to be inaugurating a convention centre Rudraksh in Varanasi. Constructed with Japanese assistance, this state-of-the-art centre will make Varanasi an attractive destination for conferences thus drawing more tourists and businesspersons to the city.
