Sasikala to be released on Jan 27, from Prison: Dhinakaran

Chennai: Independent MLA and Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam founder T T V Dhinakaran said his aunt V K Sasikala will be released from prison on Wednesday, according on to all our expectations. Speaking to the media persons on Monday, he said his aunt expelled a AIADMK leader and the aide of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jaya Lalitha, serving a jail term in Bengaluru since four years in a corruption case.

Now she is undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Victoria hospital in Bengaluru. She will be released on 27 Jan 2021, he said. Sasikala, under treatment at Victoria Hospital, had been earlier moved out of the ICU there after her virus symptoms reduced. She had contracted Covid-19 on January 20 and was later admitted to the Bowring Hospital.
