Hyderabad: The Government will launch an intensive publicity campaign on good hygiene and Covid-19 preventive measures, said Medical & Health Minister Etela Rajender on Tuesday. He also said that the Government was activating the helpline number 104 from Wednesday onwards.

People can call in with any information on Corona virus related to Covid-19. He also advised that it is time to stop shaking hands with friends or strangers that one comes across. It is best to greet one another from some distance using the traditional ‘Namaste’ with folded hands, said Minister. He appealed the public to practice good hand hygiene and basic clean habits of covering the mouth with a small towel or a handkerchief while coughing or sneezing, he said.

Just by ensuring hand washing and keeping them clean can prevent any possibility of catching a disease like Covid-19 by 99%, he said. The Government also takes a decision to advertise on TV networks, newspapers and set up hoarding across the state over the next 10 days, he said.
