SC grants conditional bail to YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju

New Delhi: Supreme Court Division Bench comprised the Justices Vineet Saran and B R Gavai on Friday, granted conditional bail to YSRCP rebel MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju, who is facing sedation charges.

The AP CID arrested him on May 14th at his residence in Hyderabad on sedation charges case and produced before the CID Court at Guntur and in High Court at Amaravathi. Now he is undergoing treatment at Secunderabad Military Hospital on the directions of Supreme Court.

Supreme Court Division Bench in its Judgement said that the MP Raghurama Krishnam Raju would not speak with the media or post videos on social media, and also barred the interviews to the media relating to this case.

The Supreme Court also directed the MP to attend the CID investigation, whenever the CID officials required and also cooperate with the investigating officers. The Court directed the CID officials to issue notices 24 before to the MP for investigation and allow his lawyer to investigation.

The Court imposed fine of Rs One lakh to the MP and produce two witnesses with the earnest amount of Rs One lakh each and deposit in the Lower Court within a week days. The Court categorically said that the bail was granted on the merits of his health condition.
