Talibans opened fire into air: anti Taliban protesters chants Death to Pakistan chants in support of Massoud

Kabul: People of Afghanistan staged protest against Talibans infront of Pakistan embassies in Kabul and Mazar – I – Sharif city on Tuesday. Protesting people extended solidarity in support of the resistance movement led by Ahmad Massoud. The protesters started chanting death to Pakistan during their protest.

The Taliban fired bullets into the air on Tuesday to disperse protesters gathering in the capital for an anti Pakistan demonstration. Protests were held at Herat and Mazar – I – Sharif. Protesters, mostly women gathered outside the Pakistani consulate on Tuesday, carrying banners and demanding Azadi. Journalists, who covered the demonstrations, were detained.

According to the Al Arabiya reports videos on social media showed people started chanting death to Taliban, long live Afghanistan as people marched in the dark streets on Monday night.

As per the report Taliban had announced it had captured Panjshir province, the last stronghold of the anti Taliban movement, the National Resistance Front (NRF), which mobilized under the leadership of Ahmad Massoud, the son of slain hero of the anti-Soviet resistance Ahmad Shah Massoud. He released an audio message in which he called for a national uprising.

We request other brothers and sisters, wherever you are and with whatever means you are capable, to rise up and resist against the imposition of a servile and subjugated future in Afghanistan, he said. The US has long accused Pakistan of supporting the Taliban; a charge Islamabad denies, it reported.

Regional media reports, citing anonymous sources, said that Pakistan provided air support for the Taliban in their strikes against the resistance fighters in Panjshir.
